United Way of Mahaska County (UWMC), will be hosting a fall fundraiser in September. UWMC works tirelessly to identify and fill gaps within the community. On September 23, 2023, we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Bingo Ball! Packed into this event we’ve got BINGO, prizes, hors-d’oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction, and fun for the whole family all in one place. Your participation in the Bingo Ball allows United Way of Mahaska County to ensure that the needs of the community are being met. Below are some examples of the impact UWMC has made over the past year:
- Financially supported 12 Funded Partners that address specific needs in Mahaska County
- Distributed almost 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in Mahaska County ranging from Pre-K through High School through our Back to School Fair.
- Assisted over 270 families file their income taxes through the VITA Tax Program.
- Distributed weekend meals to 117 students through our Take-Along Weekend Food Program.
The funds raised at this event will allow UWMC to continue our focus in the areas of health, education, and financial stability.
At United Way of Mahaska County, we are committed to improving lives for a better tomorrow. The Bingo Ball will help raise much needed funds for our goals, and those of our local nonprofits. We hope you will join us for this wonderful cause! See you there!
