Day of Caring
Taking ONE Day to Build a Stronger Mahaska County
Every year, United Way of Mahaska County brings together volunteers, businesses, organizations, and community members for one day of service that makes a lasting impact throughout our county.
From landscaping and painting to minor repairs and building projects, Day of Caring connects volunteers with meaningful opportunities to improve neighborhoods, nonprofit facilities, and community spaces. Together, we demonstrate that United Is the Way by investing our time and talents where they’re needed most.
We’re Looking for Community Projects
Do you know of a project that could benefit from a team of volunteers?
We’re currently accepting project requests for this year’s Day of Caring. Whether it’s outdoor cleanup, painting, simple repairs, or another project that would make a positive difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Projects are reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for volunteer teams and can be completed safely during the event.
